What's There To Do In Western Massachusetts?

If you’ve just recently moved into Liberty Manor or have moved into Western Massachusetts then first of all, welcome! Western Massachusetts is a beautiful part of New England known for its exceptional environment and friendly faces all around. Although we don’t offer the hustle and bustle of Boston, there is still much to do in Westfield and the other surrounding areas as well.

Shopping:

Are you craving bargain deals or at least a day to shop for yourself? Westfield offers a shopping hub at the Westgate Plaza Shopping center. Here you can find all the basics from groceries and supplies around the house to great deals on clothing! If you’re looking for a mall close by, Holyoke Mall can be found heading north on I-91 and has everything you may need, a great place to go with your friends and family. Dining:

Westfield offers great restaurants and bars to eat and drink great food. For a more casual dining experience go out with friends or family to the Short Stop Bar and Grill. Offering healthy options like their hummus dish and salads to their bar food such as wings or burgers.  For more great places to eat in Westfield, check out the link here: http://bit.ly/WestfieldRestaurants

Night Life:

Does your inner night owl crave some activity? Western Massachusetts offers a lot of great entertainment in the area, if you’re looking for either live music, spoken word or an informative talk. The Springfield CityStage and Symphony Hall has featured Broadway tours, musicals and comedic performances by the best in the business! For information on their upcoming performances for the 2015-2016 season check here: http://bit.ly/CityStageEvents

Outdoors:

The natural scenery of Western Mass is one of the area’s most attractive qualities, bringing hundreds of people here every year. Mt. Tom, which is located in Holyoke, has a utility road to bring sightseers to its high elevation of 1,202 feet. For more hiking the Berkshires farther west offer beautiful wildlife for nature lovers of all ages. Within just an hour away, a trip to the Berkshires could turn into a wonderful daytrip you will always remember. Before engaging in any extensive exercise, please check with your physician to see if you’re capable of some outdoor activities. See What Our Residents Are Saying

Our move to Liberty Manor has allowed us to enjoy an easier way of life. Here at Liberty Manor having everything on one level means no more stairs, especially the laundry room which my wife really enjoys. Moving to Liberty Manor from a country home still gives us the sense of country living with wooded areas that surround the homes here while still having the close proximity of the shopping malls well within a short drive. During our search for a retirement home we visited Liberty Manor many times and always had the sense of community which is hard to find today. Coming to open house here we had a chance to meet many of the residents in the community who became some of our best friends. It's a very active community which has enriched our lives while still enjoying the country setting and occasional visit from the local wildlife which passes through our yard. We are very much enjoying retirement here at Liberty Manor.Richard & Carol Deaton, Liberty Manor Residents
